Tech Apprenticeships are becoming a more popular choice for DFEi graduates

Business and Marketing graduate, Aisling Sheridan is about to start a tech apprenticeship in cybersecurity. Aisling will study at 3rd level and also work 3 days a week in a tech apprentice partner company. For Aisling, it is a win-win. She is delighted to be getting paid and learning at the same time.

Apprenticeship options for graduates of Science, IT and Engineering

DFEi Science graduate Aaron Joyce Kavanagh has just been accepted onto Pfizer's apprenticeship programme. He will be two days on the job, and three days in Tallaght IT. The apprenticeship option is becoming increasingly popular for STEM students. A chance to gain industry experience, get paid and study for your degree at the same time. DDLETB Response to Cost of Living Crisis

In response to the cost of living crisis, we are implementing a significant reduction in fees for all domestic students undertaking a Post Leaving Cert (PLC) course in the upcoming academic year 2023 - 2024.

Furniture Design students showcase their restoration pieces.

Our furniture design students undertook a restoration project and they skillfully brought new life to their selected pieces. They sourced their pieces from charity shops and their grandparents. Hours of work were spent stripping back the wood, sanding and finishing surfaces, repairing any damages and reupholstering. Enjoy the "Before and After" photos.

DFEi students participate on the DLR “Trendhunters” programme.

Congratulations to DFEi students of Marketing, Science and Architectural Design and Technology. They completed a successful work placement in Dun Laoghaire County Council offices, participating in the Trendhunters programme. This programme taught the students how to identify current waves of change so we can build a smart, sustainable and future-proof Dún Laoghaire.

ETB Music Day

DFEi were delighted to welcome bands from our sister colleges, Stillorgan College of Further Education and Greenhills College. This is our first ETB Music Day, and we look forward to collaborating next year. Thanks to our sound engineering students for organising all the stage set up.

Live Music Events Day Two

What a wonderful lunchtime experience, to enjoy such wonderful music while having a cup of coffee. Fantastic performances from Sunline, three young women from Holy Child Killiney, Colaiste Iosagain and Rathdown. Also two solo performances by Kyama and Leah from Newpark Comprehensive School. The vocals really raised the roof.
