Now Working as a Senior Audio Visual Technician
I started in DFEi straight after my leaving cert wanting to learn about sound with no knowledge in the field. After even just my first year I had learned many techniques of recording, mixing and live sound mixing.
After 2 years in the college completing Sound Engineering and Music Production I had become very confident in my abilities behind the mixing desk.
The opportunities of being able to conduct many recording sessions in the onsite studio and mix sound live at gigs in the college, in venues in the city for college events and working at the music festival Vantastival managing our own stage, was incredibly valuable experience for my career.
I am now working in the live events industry as a Senior Audio Visual Technician working on large events across the country.
The incredible teaching and opportunities I had while at DEFi were a valuable aspect of progressing into further education in BIMM Dublin and building my career.
