Students from LEVEL 6 Health Supervisory management hosted a Health promotion event for members of the Age Action group in Rathmines. The title of the presentation was Safe Living and covered topics such as safety with medication, road and personal security and fire safety in the home. A very informative session and a great opportunity to get out into the community to spread the word of how to live long and well.

A great night was had last Friday where DFEi Music Production students and friends showcased their music. Special thanks to Patrick Wall for organising the event all the performers. Thank you to the students who came along to support. Line up included Peter Fahy, Richard Kearney and his band, The Kearnivores, and Ian Murphy.

The HeForShe campaign pushes for greater gender equality in vocational education and skills professions. Dara tells how she loves working with wood and being a girl in a traditionally male profession doesn't change anything in her mind.
AH6 and AH5 students get their hands and feet dirty and learn on site in Gurteen Farm. The group spent 5 days before mid-term learning about the routine daily care of farm animals. It was back to dormitory sleeping, wellies and hearty meals. Gurteen welcome students studying agriculture, veterinary studies and animal health care all year round.
Congratulations to RB6 and PJ6 students who ran the DFEi radio station, The Wave earlier this week. What an array of programmes ranging from sports, current affairs to music programmes "as gaelige".
Security students, SM6 were treated to a tailor made tour of Google last week.
