Lots of colourful dogs paraded down the East pier on Wednesday to raise money for the ASH animal welfare charity. Thanks to all students who helped with the cake sale too.
A big thank you to all the students and teachers involved in this charity event. All donations will be distributed in the coming days to those in need.
Lots of pre- Christmas activities going on in DFEi this week. Enjoy some of DFEi’s musical talent on Tuesday and Friday lunch time. Rattle your brain at the table quiz on Thursday or dig out your Christmas jumper for the Christmas jumper parade next Wednesday.
Five powerpack chargers to be won this week. Find reindeers Dasher or Randolph hiding in the college. Post a picture of yourself on Instagram with the reindeer. Tag us @dfei_ireland. Winners will be announced on at lunch time on December 13th .

Well done to the Student Council for organising a colourful Intercultural lunch time event last Thursday. Zach on piano and Sophie on vocals entertained us while the rest of the student council offered around some of the tasters they had prepared.
Mary Mitchell-O Connor TD expressed her delight at returning to home turf during her welcome speech at the launch of College Awareness Week 2017 at DFEi on Monday 20 December.
Well done to DFEi teachers Tara Lovett and Eoghan Ó Murchadha who spoke recently at a TEDx event hosted by BCFE in November. The theme was ‘Creativity’. A group of speaker from different third level and further education colleges presented their ideas creative approaches to education and teaching.
We had lots of fun with fire last week. Flamable gas was pumped into a beaker with washing up liquid. The bubbles created held the gas so one match set arms and furniture alight.
