HND Music Production students had a remote guest talk with Dublin DJ, club promoter and co-founder of the Pear record label Nevan Jio on Tuesday. Nevan very kindly took time out from his new role at All City Records to give us an in-depth look at how an independent record label operates, the mechanics of various aspects of the music industry and some insightful predictions for the future of live music events. Big thanks to Nevan from our Music Production team.
Congratulations to Richard Greene who has received a Uversity scholarship to study for a BSc in Furniture Design and Making. Uversity scholarships are awarded to mature students to study for a degree for the first time.
Congratulations to Arwin Condon who yesterday became a fully qualified staff nurse. Arwin started her journey in DFEi back in 2014. She will be working in the pulmonary oncology unit in North Manchester General hospital.
